REPORTS TO: LCKids Director – Birth – 5yrs
RATE OF PAY: $16.28/hour
Summary/Objective
The purpose of this position is to provide a safe and nurturing environment where children, infant to 5 years of age, can learn, grow, love, and follow Jesus Christ. To maintain positive communication and Christ centered leadership with parents and children. Attend to children's basic needs, organize activities that stimulate children's spiritual, physical, emotional, intellectual, and social growth. Help children explore individual interests, develop talents and independence, build self-esteem, and learn how to get along with others.
Supervisory Responsibility
This role does not have a supervisory component.
Responsibilities
Lead, observe, and monitor children’s play activities.
Maintain open communication with parents.
Arrange a classroom environment in accordance with program goals and philosophy.
Change diapers and assist children to the restroom.
Maintain a safe and healthy classroom environment.
Inspect for damaged or lost materials. Inform Director of such items.
Keep all appropriate records such as attendance records and time sheets.
Attend monthly team meetings.
Initiate measures to promote healthy and appropriate classroom behaviors.
Facilitate the bible story, curriculum, and main teaching.
Setting up guest check in systems.
Adhere to and execute opening and closing classroom set up and clean up responsibilities.
Contact parents for emergent or need based occasions.
Welcoming families and executing child check in/out procedures.
Calming and soothing an upset child
Feed and care for infants in the nursery rooms. Prepare for naps accordingly.
Other reasonable duties as requested and assigned.

Education, Experience, Certifications and Licensure
Prior childcare experience
First Aid and CPR Certification
Physical Demands
Standing or moving for prolonged periods.
Must regularly lift or move up to 30 pounds.
Must be able to lift babies and toddlers properly.
This role participates in random drug screening as stated in the Life Center Employee Handbook.
Work Environment and Travel
This job operates in a professional office and ministry environment.
This role routinely interacts with staff, volunteers, and guests.
The primary campus location for this role: Central
Travel is not anticipated for this role.

Hours and Schedule
Part Time: Less than 20 hours per week.
Variable shifts. Flexible Days/Evenings. Can include Wednesday and Thursday mornings and evenings, Sunday mornings, and other opportunities depending on scheduled events.
