PAY RANGE: $20.19 - $25.96 (non-exempt) or $42,000 - $54,000 (exempt)
Summary/Objective
The Student Ministry Director/Pastor is responsible to develop and implement a comprehensive program of care, discipleship, and service opportunities for middle school and high school students and provide resources to parents that align with the Life Center mission and vision. The Student Ministry Director/Pastor will recruit, develop, and lead volunteers for the Student Ministry and serve in ministry roles for the weekend gathering.
Supervisory Responsibility
This role does not have a supervisory component.
Responsibilities
Serve as contributing member of the Campus Leadership Team and Generational Team
Develop and promote discipleship model that is effective for students at the church, in homes, and their campus
Provide leadership and oversight to the spiritual formation of Rainier students through the various aspects of the student ministry in the following particulars:
Promote a church-wide vision of reaching and developing students to become more like Christ
Implement Strategy that encourages students to worship God, learn and obey His Word, participate in community, win others to Christ, and serve within the body
Oversee, student support, and develop the skills of the professional and volunteer staff to accomplish the mission of forming spiritually
Provide teaching of both biblical theology and social issues that relate to students and their families
Develop, promote, and implement all activities related to student ministries
Recruit and develop volunteers
Work with the professional and lay student ministry staff to regularly evaluate the ministries’ effectiveness in developing students and upholding all church policy statements regarding student
Assist parents in the development of biblical parenting skills so that families are being formed spiritually through developing biblically based topics relevant to parenting students
Exercises independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance
Manage social media content to promote the ministry

Strong problem-solving skills
Proficient level knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and Teams
Proficient level computer skills to use HRIS/timeclock, staff intranet, etc.
Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s systems and programs utilized by the ministry. (i.e., CCB PCO, Pro-Presenter, Thread, LEADR, etc.)
Compliant with Life Center’s Policies and Practices, including but not limited to Employee Handbook and Safety Manual.

Education, Experience, Certifications and Licensure
Bachelors Degree required.
Formal education or certification in student ministry or equivalent experience.
Two years of practical experience in relevant field a plus

This job operates in a professional office and ministry environment.

The primary campus location for this role: Rainier
Local travel may be required occasionally for All Staff Meetings.

Hours and Schedule
Full time: 33+ hours per week, which includes:
Monday – Thursday 8:30am – 4:30pm during office hour operations.
Requires evening and weekend work pertaining to ministry’s needs and events.
Attendance at the following staff meetings is required for this role: Annual Reset, Annual Meeting, All Staff Trainings, recurring meetings as required, and additional meetings as requested.
